About Northern Schools Early Years
The Northern Schools Early Years (NSEY) is a Early Years Management group that supports 18 Early Childhood services, 16 of which are co-located on school sites. We are proud to have been announced as winners in the 2023 Department of Education’s Victorian Early Years Awards for Continuity of Learning for our Kindergarten to grade 6 model and Improving Access and Participation in Early Learning .
Our purpose is to “Love a Life of Learning and Living,” and we aim to set the highest standard of early years education in partnership with local schools and the community. We are committed to maximising outcomes for children in the early years, encouraging opportunities for families to be involved in their child’s early education and promoting professional career support, development and well-being for our educators.
The Opportunity
We are seeking to employ a HR Officer to provide high-quality administrative and operational support to the People and Culture function of the organisation. Working under the direction of the People & Culture Manager, the HR Officer will assist in the effective delivery of recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, training, policy administration, and HR systems support. This role ensures smooth day-to-day HR operations, while contributing to initiatives that promote a positive and supportive workplace culture.
Qualifications and Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in administration or HR support roles.
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent administrative/HR experience.
- Experience maintaining accurate employee records and handling confidential information
- Experience supporting recruitment and/or onboarding processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and HRIS or database systems
- A commitment to continuous improvement and ongoing learning and development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Proven adaptability and flexibility to changing work situations, priorities, and deadlines.
